Lusitânia de Lourosa regrets the "undignified" transfer of the game to Estádio Algarve.

Lusitânia de Lourosa, recently promoted to the Portuguese Second Division, lamented the transfer of its game against União de Leiria, on Sunday, to the Algarve .
“At a particularly challenging time, everyone involved in the decision to have us play at the Algarve Stadium seems to be doing everything they can to undermine professional football, sporting justice, and above all, the much-vaunted fair play, being far more committed to conveying an undignified image, more in line with the prevailing paradigm they are promoting,” criticized the Lusitanian club in a statement published on social media.
The Portuguese Football League (LPFP) has authorized that the next match at the Gil Vicente stadium will be played at the Algarve Stadium, located 520 kilometers from the city of Lourosa and 360 from Leiria. This is due to ongoing work on the Gil Vicente pitch.
The emblem of the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira revealed that it had reached an agreement with the president of FC Porto, André Villas-Boas, for the match to take place at the Jorge Costa Training and Sports Center, formally known as Estádio do Olival, but at 2 pm instead of 8:15 pm, conditions that “were accepted by União de Leiria”.
However, "due to a scheduling conflict," FC Porto requested that the game be moved to 11:00 AM, a situation that was not accepted by the opposing team [União de Leiria].
“The resulting impasse led to the designated venue for the aforementioned game being the Algarve Stadium, surprisingly, more than 500 kilometers from Lourosa. It should also be noted that this same stadium will be used from 3 pm onwards for the Damaiense-Rio Ave match, part of the Women's League, which, technically and logistically, constitutes an overlap, since preparations need to begin several hours in advance,” he lamented.
Despite having indicated the Estádio Cidade de Barcelos as a substitute, Lusitânia de Lourosa has been using the Estádio Municipal Dr. Jorge Sampaio, in Vila Nova de Gaia, for league matches, with the exception of the last matchday, which was played in Famalicão.
